Coming from Abroad:

If you come from Estonia the cheapest (and probably the fastest way if you take into consideration the airport waiting time and travel times) is to take the Ferry from Tallinn to Helsinki.

From most other places there’s some really good flight deals, we recommend to check out the best deals from Skyscanner or Momondo.

Getting to Helsinki form the airport:

If you are alone the Cheapest way is to simply take a bus from the airport to the central station in Helsinki. There is direct Finnair City Bus which departs every 15 to 20 minutes and costs 6,30 € or bus 615 (620 during the night) which costs 5 €. Then as everywhere there’s the option to take a taxi. A taxi from the airport to the center costs around 45 €.

Staying in Helsinki:

Last year we had some people staying at the CheapSleep Hostel which is an awesome modern hostel at walking distance from the Workshop location. Also there’s people normally staying at the Scandic Paasi which in between the party locations and the workshop location, or the Omena Hotels which are close by the party location. There’s plenty of good accommodation options around, check the accommodation section for our suggestions to find accommodation that meets your needs and budget.

Getting Around Helsinki:

Getting around Helsinki is really easy as the Public Transportation system in Helsinki is really good. The easiest option to travel from the center to the workshop location and back is with the Metro. There’s only 1 Metro line and its only a few stops. Individual tickets valid for 1 hour are 3€, we recommend you to get a 2, 3 or 4 day ticket to safe. Prices are 12 €, 16 €, 20 € respectively. They can be bought from vending machines, at the main station and sometimes at the hotels or hostels.
